RR Debtor Finance

Debtor or Invoice Financing and Factoring play an important role in the provision of working capital and liquidity finance. A relatively specialised area of lending, that differs from other business finance products in structure, operation and legal aspects, financiers in this field require the confidence that support service providers fully understand the intricacies of this lending.

The RR Banking and Finance division offers specific support and services to providers of debtor finance, including pre lending due diligence, invoice and debtor verification, customer field reviews, collections and recovery.

The RR Banking and Finance division can provide assistance for creditors and business directors when subject to financial stress.

Under Australian law secured creditors have several options available to them when a borrower defaults  on their lending facilities.

These options include:

  • An independent business review of the borrowers business (IBR)
  • An agent for the mortgagee in possession (AMIP)
  • A controller
  • A receiver or a receiver and manager
  • A voluntary administrator or a liquidator

Similarly, business owners and directors have options available when subject to creditor pressure.
