Alex started his professional career with Ernst & Young (“EY”) in 2007. Subsequently, Alex joined Rodgers Reidy & Co. (“RRCo”) in 2010 and currently manages and oversee the operations of RRCo Kuala Lumpur office with a focus on expanding reconstruction and insolvency practice in the Firm.
Alex has over 17 years of experience in insolvency, corporate advisory, and restructuring in Malaysia. His key experiences include:
- Acted as Liquidator and Receiver & Manager of Companies in various industries nationwide;
- Acted as Judicial Manager of Companies in various industries, and manage and supervise the corporate voluntary arrangement of iFlix Sdn Bhd.;
- Appointed as Deputy Chairman / Alternate Chairman for AirAsia X / Sapura Group of Companies Court Convened Creditors Meetings for the purpose of the Scheme of Arrangements;
- Appointed as the court-appointed insolvency practitioner under Section 367(3)(A) and Section 369 of the Companies Act 2016 for various proposed compromise or arrangements encompassing pre-pack / super-priority funding components respectively;
- Appointed as Independent POD Assessor of Disputed PODs adjudicated by the Scheme Chairman for Companies for the purpose of Scheme of Arrangement (i.e. Serba Dinamik Development Sdn. Bhd., Ace Credit (M) Sdn. Bhd.)
- Prepared the viability report assessing the feasibility of the proposed Scheme of Arrangement under Section 369 of the Companies Act 2016 by KNM Group Berhad and KNM Process Systems Sdn. Bhd.;
- Participated in Formulation, Review and Presentation of Restructuring of Growers Scheme involving 4,000 growers under Interest Schemes Act 2019;
- Provided advisory and consultancy services to Companies and large financial institutions on their investments in various companies on potential business restructuring options available;
- Performed Independent Business Viability / Financial Review and undertake Monitoring Accountant engagements to ascertain Companies capability to meet repayment commitment to financial institutions;
- Provided advisory and consultancy services to Companies and multinational Companies in the winding down of their business and operations in Malaysia;
- Provided advisory and consultancy services on the administration of Estate of High Net Worth Individuals including appointment as Consultant to the Executor, Court Appointed Receiver and Manager and Administrator Pendente Lite; and
- Acted as Back Up Service Provider for a Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending Company as part of the “living will” arrangement as advised by the Securities Commission of Malaysia.

Personal Interests
Alex enjoys travelling with the family and friends, as well as a foodie of both international and local cuisines. He is a massive fan of football especially English Premier League. He also enjoys watching movies and spending his spare time with his wife and family.
